Different types of mobile out of home advertising suit certain brands better than others.

Truck Advertising

Truck advertising works particularly well if the brand advertising is in some way motor car-related as trucks speak directly to motorists on the road. Drawbacks can be that they travel mainly between depots either in the early morning or late at night meaning their exposure is not as effective as it might seem.

Vans go everywhere, mainly during the day when people are out and about. They travel into city centres, motorways and the suburbs. They also would be equally effective platforms for reaching motorists on the road. This offers a wider and more varied level of exposure.

Because vans are smaller than large trucks it is cheaper to apply signwriting to them. This allows advertisers to be able to afford to sign write more vans for every truck.

Taxi Advertising

Taxi advertising is very much like van advertising in that the platform is constantly on the move. When compared to the large flat sides of vans the taxi offers a much smaller more awkward advertising space. Impact wise vans offer far better value for money. A taxi will not be viewed as part of a branded fleet of delivery vehicles and won’t give the brand an impression of being big and popular.

Bus Advertising

Bus advertising is big and effective. A bus travels the same route every day and does not have the flexibility of travelling everywhere that a van does. A sign written bus is an advert only. It does not give the impression of being part of a fleet of company vans with the ability to be able to promote the size and popularity of the advertised brand. A bus can be 4 times more expensive to vinyl wrap when compared to a large van.
